The Best Street Style Instagrams from London Fashion Week Spring 2017

Categories:Other Brands

One of the many reasons I love social media is because it gives us the power to be virtually anywhere in real time and share our points of view with the world. Gone are the days you had to work in fashion to follow along with all the Fashion Week coverage, and thanks to Instagram’s beautiful imagery from photographers, fashion editors and bloggers, it almost feels like we’re there.

London Fashion Week ended earlier this week, and the street style looks worn by elite showgoers were just as quirky, whimsical and elaborate as those we spotted in New York. Vlad may not have been on the streets like he was for New York Fashion Week, but that doesn’t mean we can’t marvel at all the amazing street style bag pics we found on Instagram! Check out all of my favorite street style looks from LFW below.

KADLETZ: Stepping Out on the Edge

Categories:Jewelry & Watches

KADLETZ

Jadie Kadletz may have just launched her namesake line, but I know for certain that she has a least one fan already – me! While the look of her jewelry is clean and minimal (these are the kind of pieces that’ll coordinate with anything), the style is cool girl chic all the way, with shapes and forms like animal tusks, horns, talons, sabers, and even teeth serving as inspiration. It’s no easy task finding cutting edge jewels that are easy to wear because “cutting edge” also normally equates to something so specific you have to plan your entire outfit around it. On the average day, you just want fun pieces that you can throw on to update any look and give it an extra shot of personality.

This Blue Gucci Dionysus GG Blooms Bag is Making Me Feel the Opposite of Blue

Categories:Other Brands

Right off the bat you know I love Gucci. I loved the bags before Alessandro took over including theBamboo, Jackie Soft, and Lady Web and I’ve been on the edge of my seat with the new direction especially fond of the Dionysus. I wasn’t sure until I laid my hands on a Dionysus just how amazing it really was. In pictures the bag is pretty and different but when you actually get to try it out, you may find yourself just as in love as I am.

Many more Gucci bags have come onto the scene and there are plenty that I love, but I haven’t purchased a Dionysus yet and I can’t seem to stop checking them out when I spot one. This version, the Gucci Dionysus GG Blooms Bag in blue, stopped me in my tracks and had me doing many double takes. While I haven’t seen this exact version in person, I am really intrigued. While many of these bags do feature the GG supreme canvas print, this bag stands out because the GG’s are in a deep blue. Typically you’ll find them in classic Gucci brown which coincides with the tan canvas, but the blue is something different.

I ended up loving the Blooms Print Dionysus when we first photographed it, it really stood out in person. The cool thing is there’s blue suede trim peeking out, hand-painted edges, and the blooms print on the front and back of the bag. Antiqued silver hardware doesn’t distract and the chain strap can easily be doubled or worn longer, whichever you choose. On the inside you’ll find suede lining and a center zip compartment, which allows for easy internal separation. Overall dimensions are 8″H x 12″W x 4″D and simply put this bag is just lovely. I’ve come back to the Dionysus so many times that I think I’m trying to tell myself something: pick one already and buy it.

The Bags and Shoes at Louis Vuitton Were a Technicolor Dream

Categories:Other Brands

It wasn't just the bags and shoes that made us gush as the models took the Fall '16 Louis Vuitton runway. It was the futuristic, spindly jewels that dangled from their ears and the long leather gloves that took their biker-babe outfits to the next level. The oversize hats that sat atop a few lucky ladies' heads were a reminder that Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière doesn't keep his collections muted. Instead, he adds accessories to carry out a theme.

But no matter what vibes he's sending out to showgoers, there's always an instant attraction when it comes to LV accessories. Immediately, these mesh-finished moto booties, trunks wrapped with silk scarves, and kitschy doctor bags will become must haves. Come Fall, we promise street style stars will count them all as It items, arriving at the Spring 2017 show with these exact designs in hand, ready for another round.

Chanel Up In The Air Bags

1 / 2

And yes, that is the name; Chanel Up In The Air and it’s a flap and tote bag. I like the name; it’s catchy like it should be. Is this a new crave? No its not, but you can still find it in the Cruise 2014 Collection.

It was a new addition to the classic flap and tote line, first introduced in pre-spring and summer 2013 collection. A bag that got stuck between chic and casual. You could wear it at work and you take it to your friend’s wedding. So why love the Chanel Up In The Air? First of all, it’s different. It moves you away from the classic quilted flaps to try something that not everyone carries. You will still be adorned by the beautiful chain, CC logo and the classic shape, so no lack of iconic features.

For the Cruise 2014 collection, new colors have been introduced, the images you see are from the pre-spring 2013 collection. But I also have one bad news, the prices have gone up. WTF!

The Chanel Up in the Air bags are made from calfskin and only available in silver hardware. The new colors for the flap bags are Ivory, Red and Black. The style code is: A67652, the prices went from $2,700 USD to $3,000 USD and I am referring to the medium size, which is measured 6.6 x 11.6 x 2.4.

The tote bag is also in Ivory and black, but there is a new lusting color; Navy Blue. The style code is: A67654 and the size is 11x14x6.5. The price went from $3,000 USD to $3,400 USD.

This bag can be worn in all season and you might not have notice it on the pictures, but it has a strong sense of appearance. So what do you think? Practical or not?
